The Harry and Eve Vickar Shelter is in dire straits! The pandemic lockdown has hampered our fundraising and depleted our reserves to the point that we may have to close our doors mid February 2025 - to allow us time to recover. The shelter was built to serve many communities and has given over 800 animals a second chance at life with loving families. The volunteer board members, volunteers, and the Melfort Fundraising Group have worked tirelessly to cut our costs to the limit of care. The shelter costs $14,000 a month to remain open. If you believe that the NESPCA is an asset to our community; everyone must donate now!
